Defeated resoundingly by Khamzat Shimaev No. UFC 319, held last Saturday (16), Dricus Du Plessis tried to maintain his composure after losing the middleweight belt (up to 83,9 kg), but he couldn't hide his depression. The now former champion attended a post-fight party organized by friends and influencers, but was caught visibly uncomfortable in a video that went viral on social media.

In the recording published by influencer Jackson O'Doherty on Instagram, Du Plessis appears participating in a beer chugging contest — a kind of race to see who can drink the drink the fastest — but without showing any excitement.
Even surrounded by friends, the former champion maintained a serious expression and was clearly affected by the defeat.

Despite being largely dominated in the first four rounds, Du Plessis attempted a comeback in the final round. The South African managed to reverse a ground position and threatened a guillotine choke that brought the Chicago crowd to their feet. However, Chimaev escaped the submission and regained control of the fight until the final bell.
