Lerone Murphy details brutal elbow that knocked out Aaron Pico at UFC 319: 'I knew it'

Lerone murphy calculated every step of his knockout Regarding Aaron Pico at UFC 319. "He tends to use his head and kind of throw himself a considerable distance. I knew it would work. I really knew it would work," Murphy said.

The Englishman also explained that he used the strategy of throwing his opponent off balance by starting the move with a spinning kick, leading Pico to believe the attack would be repeated. He then surprised him with an elbow strike.

"I knew that technique would be the ideal way to finish him. That's why I started with a spinning back kick... When he came in, you could see him preparing. He thought he was going to get kicked, and the elbow landed," explained the Brit.
