Makhachev punishes training partner during preparation for title fight; watch

Aware that his next fight will be for the welterweight title (up to 77,1kg), Islam Makhachev is eager to return to the octagon soon. Unable to vent his anxiety on Jack Della Maddalena, the Russian ends up using his training partners to practice more impactful strikes during his preparation to face the Australian.

In a video posted on social media (watch below), the former champion revealed that he punished one of his teammates for failing to report to the training center properly. Using punches and knees, the Russian forces the fighter to bend over in pain after receiving a clean blow to the waist.

Although there is still no official date for the fight against Jack Della Maddalena, it is expected that the title bout will take place in November, at the event that will be held at the grand Madison Square Garden in New York (USA).
