After knocking out Geoff Neal last Saturday (16), at UFC 319, in Chicago (USA), the Fighting Nerds athlete had already requested a spot on the Rio card. The request received the green light from Dana White, president of the organization.
Now, rumors about his presence at the event have gained even more momentum. In a social media post this week, the São Paulo native published a cryptic message.

“Big things are coming,” Prates wrote, tagging the UFC’s official profile and adding a telephone emoji.
After recovering from his defeat against Ian Garry , Carlos Prates has bounced back as one of the candidates for 'Knockout of the Year', earned a bonus of US$ 50 (approximately R$ 273), has gained prominence in the welterweight division (up to 77kg) and could emerge as one of the national names on the Rio de Janeiro card.
Currently, the UFC has ten fights confirmed. Charles Oliveira and Rafael Fiziev will headline the event, and all tickets have already been sold for the show, which takes place on October 11th at the Jeunesse Arena in Rio de Janeiro.
