Raphael Fiziev is scheduled for the main event of UFC Rio on October 11th, and he already knows that the occasion could be even more significant than expected. In an interview with the channel 'Home of Fight', the Kyrgyz commented that he would be surprised and even emotionally shaken if Charles of the Bronx really hang up the gloves in front of your fans.
"I've been thinking about it. It would be surprising to me. But time is a constant. What is he? 36? 37? I was planning to end my career at 35. If he decides to stop after our fight, I'll be sad," the fighter declared.

Despite the differences in styles, nationalities, and career milestones, Fiziev expressed respect and empathy for the Brazilian's potential departure from the octagon. He also revealed that he accepted the fight precisely because he knew how important it was for Charles to fight at home, even though he preferred a later return to the octagon.
"He wanted to fight in October and asked for a fight there. I wanted to fight in November or December. When the UFC asked me, I thought no one would accept October. But for Charles, it's very important to fight in Brazil, at home. I couldn't say no to that," he said.
