Recurring problems with the scale were costly for BryanBattle. Champion of the The Ultimate Fighter 29 and seen as one of the UFC's top prospects, the 30-year-old American was released from the organization after failing to make weight in two consecutive fights. The information was confirmed by the page UFC Roster Watch, at X.

Hired by Ultimate after winning the title TUF, in 2021, Battle quickly stood out as a promising prospect for the company, initially in the middleweight category (up to 83,9 kg) and, later, in the welterweight category (up to 77,1 kg). In total, the fighter competed nine fights with seven wins, one loss and one draw.

Despite his strong performance inside the Octagon, the American was unable to maintain his commitment to the scales. After failing twice as a welterweight, Battle was moved to the middleweight division, where he would face Nursulton Ruziboev No. UFC 319, last Saturday (16). However, he again registered weight above the limit — this time around 2 kg more — and the fight ended up being canceled.

Successive failures in different categories became the "final straw" for the Ultimate, which decided to terminate the athlete's contract. Battle leaves the organization with a record of 7-1 within the UFC and 12-2 in professional MMA.
