Michael Pereira wants to forget his last performances and deliver a new version in UFC Shanghai. The flying Pará native is coming off two consecutive defeats, where he presented your worst performances since his debut in the Ultimate. However, in an interview with UFC Brasil, he assured that his preparation for next Saturday (23) was totally different and stated that the problems that cost him victories in previous fights have been corrected.

"I had a completely different camp. A lot of things happened for these two losses, but we improved and corrected them. I'm very well prepared and very focused for this next fight," he said. Michael Pereira.

Despite the negative moment, Michel believes the pressure is all on his opponent. The Brazilian claims his opponent has never been tested against anyone like him, which gives him an advantage inside the octagon.

"He's definitely under a lot of pressure, because fighting a fighter like me—versatile and powerful—the pressure is all on him. I'm calm, I'm well-trained, I've done my training, so I'm very well prepared to come away with the victory," concluded the high-flying Pará native.

Michel Pereira wants to fight at UFC Rio

The fighter has joined the group of Brazilians dreaming of a spot at UFC Rio. In a video posted to his Instagram stories, Michel revealed that his goal is to impress with his performance in Shanghai and immediately ask to fight in Brazil, in front of his home crowd.

"Let's make weight. Let's fight. Let's put on a show. That's what the crowd wants to see. It's the show, right? Fight well and come out with the win. And depending on the situation... I'll ask to fight in Rio. Who knows, maybe we'll fight in Rio de Janeiro. I'm dying to fight in Rio," said Michel.
