Sergei Pavlovich showed technique, power and aggressiveness to win in UFC Shanghai, an event held on the morning of this Saturday (23). The Russian, who faced Waldo Cortes-Acosta, won by unanimous decision after 15 minutes of action and frank exchanges and once again came close to a title fight in the heavyweight division (up to 120,2 kg).

In a duel valid for the main card of the UFC Shanghai, Sumudaerji had the support of the local fans and overcame Kevin Borjas by unanimous decision after three rounds. Fighting at home, the Chinese fighter controlled most of the fight on the feet and secured the victory with a solid and consistent performance. The fight was in the flyweight division (up to 56,7 kg).
Known for his aggressive and technical striking style, Mudaerji utilized his reach and movement effectively to thwart the Peruvian's attacks. With a good range of strikes and precise attacks from long range, the Tibetan native rocked Borjas at times and, despite not achieving a knockout, remained dominant throughout most of the fight.
As a result, Sumudaerji returns to winning ways in the UFC. In his career, he has 18 wins and seven losses. Borjas, on the other hand, is under pressure, with ten wins and four losses.
