Johnny Walker not only did he win at UFC Shanghai this Saturday (23), but he also used the microphone to look to the future. After knocking out Zhang Mingyang in the main fight of the event, the Brazilian challenged the former champion Jan Blachowicz for a duel in the light heavyweight division (up to 93 kg). He also made it clear that he still dreams of a shot at the belt.

"My kick is incredible, right? I tried to fight for the belt three times and didn't make it. But now I want to get there. I want to see the legendary Polish power. You've seen what Brazilian power can do in the Octagon, right?" Walker declared, still in the Octagon, after the fight.

In a strategic and precise performance, Johnny defied predictions, overcoming the favoritism of the undefeated Zhang Mingyang and won by technical knockout in the second round. The result ends a three-fight winless streak (two losses and one no contest) and also breaks a drought for Brazilians in UFC main events.

Known for his unpredictable style and explosive performances, Walker demonstrated tactical evolution by undermining his opponent's stance with low kicks and maintaining emotional control even after suffering a heavy blow in the first round.

On the other hand, Zhang tasted defeat for the first time in the UFC. A Chinese sensation in the division and known for his lightning knockouts, the 'Tiger' failed to replicate the overwhelming performance of previous fights and was defeated in his first major test of fire in the octagon.
