Since 2001, Dana White has been the face of the UFC and, according to him, will continue to be so until "the day he drops dead." Still, speculation about who could one day replace him is always buzzing behind the scenes in MMA. Among the possible names, one legend of the sport has decided to put himself forward as a candidate: Daniel Cormier, former champion in two categories and member of the Hall of Fame.
Currently the organization's official commentator, Cormier admitted that taking over the UFC's top position would be a dream come true. The American, however, made a point of emphasizing that he can't imagine the company without Dana's presence, although he acknowledges that he would love the opportunity if the moment arose.

"It would be anyone's dream job. I would absolutely love it. If they ever trust me with it, I'll do the best job I can. It's one of the biggest sports organizations in the world, and they've done such an incredible job building it that the job would just be to not screw it up," Cormier said on the podcast. "Dana is so passionate about all of this, I can't even imagine the UFC without him. But if the day comes, absolutely," the former fighter added.
Despite Cormier's statement, the dream seems distant. In a recent interview, Dana White assured that he will never step down as UFC leader. "I'm never retiring. I'm going to do this until the day I drop dead. I love it, 100%," the organization's CEO declared in a recent appearance on Tucker Carlson's podcast.
