Jean Silva may be on the way to a new 'exciting weigh-in' No. UFC Night. The Fighting Nerds representative needed an extra hour to make weight for his last fight, in UFC 314, and, by all indications, the story may be quite similar in its confrontation with Diego lopes, scheduled for September 13th.
In a video published on his YouTube channel, Jean Silva said he went to the market to buy eggs and maintain his diet, but ended up buying a cake in a jar with it. According to 'Lord', this is the reason he is still about 17 kg over the featherweight division limit (up to 65,7 kg) less than three weeks before the UFC Night.

"I found a cake in a jar. Then they ask me why I still weigh 81, 83 kilos, right? And I only have two and a half weeks left until I beat Diego," she said. Jean Silva.
Despite the scare at the weigh-in UFC 314, Lucas CattaPreta, Jean's nutritionist, assured, in an exclusive interview with SUPER LUTAS, that there were no problems in cutting weight and explained the inconvenience as a travel setback, reinforcing that the fighter would be 100% in the octagon.
The expert's promise came true, and Jean Silva dominated Bryce mitchell completely, winning the fight by submission in the second round.
UFC Noche celebrates Mexican independence
the duel between Jean Silva e Diego lopes marks the main fight of the third edition of UFC Night, a special event created by the organization in 2023 to celebrate Mexican Independence Day, celebrated on September 16.
The first edition of 'Noche' took place in 2023, at the T-Mobile Arena, in Las Vegas, when Alexa grasso tied with Valentina Shevchenko to keep the flyweight belt (up to 56,7 kg). In 2024, it was the turn of Merab Dvalishvili dethrone Sean O'Malley and win the bantamweight belt (up to 61,2 kg) in a historic and spectacular event held at the 'Sphere', also in Las Vegas.
