Dana White confirmed this Thursday (28) that Islam makhachev e Jack Della Maddalena will be the main fight of the UFC 322The event will take place on November 15th at Madison Square Garden in New York City (USA). The information was released by the organization's president through his social media.
The fight marks Makhachev's debut in the welterweight division (up to 77 kg). A former lightweight champion (70,3 kg), the Russian agreed to move up a weight class in search of a new challenge and the possibility of becoming a two-division champion.

At 33, Makhachev has a record of 27 wins and only one loss, coming off a 15-fight winning streak, and is considered one of the most dominant athletes in the sport today. In his former division, he had four defenses against Alexander Volkanovsky (2x) Dustin poirier e Renato Moicano.
