With official announcement of the duel between Weili Zhang e Valentina Shevchenko On Thursday night (28), the Chinese woman came out publicly to speak about the fight. The strawweight champion (up to 52,1 kg) will leave the title vacant to seek the status of champion in two categories and reach the top of the women's pound-for-pound ranking. In an Instagram post with over 20 likes, the Chinese fighter expressed her excitement at the chance to share the octagon with the flyweight champion (up to 56,7 kg). The two will be the co-main event of UFC 322, which takes place on November 15th at Madison Square Garden. The final fight of the night will be between Jack Della Maddalena e Islam makhachev.
"UFC 322, let's go! Keep going. Stay positive and optimistic. Overcome everything and overcome yourself. Everything is new," shared the fighter.

With more than 30 professional fights, Weili Zhang is one of the most successful female fighters of all time. She won the strawweight belt (up to 52,1 kg) twice and defended it four times. If she can win the fight with Valentina Shevchenko, she would follow in the footsteps of Amanda nunes and would become the second woman to capture titles in two different divisions in the UFC.
