The Fighting Nerds team has received a major boost as its top athletes prepare for the biggest challenges of their careers. With Caio Borralho e Mauricio Ruffy about to go into action in UFC Paris, Jean Silva confirmed in UFC Night e Carlos Prates two months from UFC 322, the São Paulo team had the special presence of Lyoto Machida, who took his children to participate in a sparring session.
In a video posted on Fighting Nerds' social media, the former UFC champion praised the team's training system. Machida highlighted the high technical level of the sparring partners and expressed his appreciation for the methodology, which consists of isolated duels closely monitored by the other athletes. Despite requiring more time, the Brazilian emphasized that the model results in remarkable development in the participants.
"The sparring sessions were very good, the technical level was very high. I really liked the system, you know... isolated sparring sessions, two guys doing it and everyone watching. It takes more time, yes, but the improvement is undeniable," he said. Lyoto Machida.
Fighting Nerds' busy UFC schedule
After the triumphs of Rudolph Vieira, Karina 'Killer', Michal Oleksiejczuk, Carlos Prates e Bruna Brazil in August, Fighting Nerds enters September with an even bigger mission. On September 6th, Caio Borralho faces Nassourdine Imavov in the main fight of UFC Paris, in a clash that could define the next challenger for the middleweight belt (up to 83,9 kg).
On the same card, Mauricio Ruffy measure forces with Benoit Saint-Denis in the co-main event of the event. On September 13th, Jean Silva will Diego lopes ahead in the UFC Night.
