Paulo Borrachinha reiterated that he wouldn't give up on a fight against Conor McGregor . In an interview with Major Magazine USA, where he also posed as a model for a fashion brand, the Brazilian stated that facing the Irish star would be his dream fight and a landmark moment for both him and UFC fans.
“It would be against Conor McGregor . He is one of the biggest names in the sport, and sharing the octagon with him would be an unforgettable moment for me and for the fans,” declared Borrachinha.
This isn't the first time Borrachinha has spoken about the potential fight. The Brazilian has long had this desire, having previously used social media to tease and suggest the fight.
In early 2024, Paulo used his 'X' (formerly Twitter) account to propose a super fight at UFC 300. He pointed out that, without USADA (United States Anti-Doping Agency) oversight, McGregor would be 'too big' to continue fighting at lightweight or welterweight.
"McGregor is a good fight at 84 kg. Without USADA, he would be a giant," wrote the Brazilian at the time.

Borrachinha's return to the octagon
Coming off losses to Robert Whittaker and Sean Strickland , Borrachinha returned to winning ways at UFC 318 in New Orleans, defeating Roman Kopylov by unanimous decision. The victory ended a drought that had lasted since 2022 and put the Brazilian back on the map in the middleweight division (up to 84 kg).
Currently ranked 13th in his category, the Brazilian is already eyeing new challenges and mentioned a potential match against Dricus du Plessis as a 'great spectacle' for the end of 2025.
