We entered the week of UFC Paris, and the atmosphere between the protagonists of the main fight is already boiling. Scheduled for this Saturday (6), the event will highlight the confrontation between Nassourdine Imavov e Caio Borralho, two of the top names in the middleweight division (up to 84 kg). And the Frenchman, fighting at home, decided to add fuel to the fire.
This Monday (1), Imavov published a provocative video on social media, mixing nationalism, humor and direct provocations towards Brazilians.

In the images, the number 1 in the middleweight rankings trains in front of the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe, while recalling the Brazilian 'traumas' in the 1998 and 2006 World Cups, when the team was eliminated by France.
The rivalry between the two isn't new. Since April, Imavov and Borralho have been exchanging public barbs. The Frenchman has stated that Caio "doesn't know how to wait his turn" and even said that the Brazilian "will be easily knocked out." Borralho, in turn, reacted sarcastically, saying he would need to "call the FBI" to locate Imavov, criticizing his rival's lack of engagement on social media at the time.

Caio Borralho x Nassourdine Imavov
Undefeated in the UFC, Caio Borralho He currently ranks 6th in the rankings and promises to impose a strong pace from the start of the fight. The Brazilian stated that he will "overwhelm" Imavov with pressure and intensity, and will also aim for a submission in the final rounds, using jiu-jitsu as his trump card.
On the other side, Nassourdine Imavov, who knocked out Israel adesanya in February of this year, he says he is ready for any scenario: ground or striking.
The Frenchman refused the role of reserve in the title fight between Dricus du Plessis e Khamzat Shimaev No. UFC 319 and preferred to remain fully focused on the Paris event. With this decision, Borralho ended up accepting in his place. The winner of this duel could very well be the next challenger for the middleweight title.
