The Irishman never goes out of style. Even though he hasn't stepped into the octagon in over four years, Conor McGregor continues to be the target of challenges and a desired opponent, especially among the featherweight (up to 65,7 kg) and lightweight (up to 70,3 kg). With the 'Notorious' name being even more heavily influenced after the UFC's announcement at the White House, the current featherweight champion is considering increasing his legacy by facing the former belt holder.

"The position you could put yourself in just by fighting that guy. When you talk about building your platform, when we talk about money and everything... The platform you're on, you need to take advantage of it, and this is a fast track to getting people to notice you," Volka explained.
McGregor Gains Momentum for the White House
Dana White has publicly commented on the possibility of having Conor McGregor e Jon Jones in the highly anticipated UFC special card to be held at the White House in 2026. The historic event was announced by former President Donald Trump on July 3 and is scheduled to take place in the Presidential Garden as part of the celebrations for the 250th anniversary of the United States.
In an interview with 'The Jim Rome Show,' Dana was cautious when discussing the names expected to make up the event. The president stated that he will only begin defining the card after January 2026, when he will have a meeting with Trump.

"I don't even begin to think about who will fight in the White House before January. I trust Conor. Conor McGregor never, ever, unless he was seriously injured, did he fail to deliver. Jon (Jones), I'm a little more skeptical," the 'boss' declared.
McGregor situation: chances are real
McGregor is officially back in the UFC's anti-doping program, a necessary condition to be able to compete again.
The Irishman also remains under active contract with the organization and recently denied rumors of being removed from the roster. He also stated that he would be "honored" to participate in the historic card.
