Vitor belfort will no longer fight at Spaten Fight Night 2. The athlete was diagnosed with a grade 3 concussion and will no longer be able to participate in the event, on September 27, in São Paulo, against Wanderlei SilvaBelfort was injured during training to prepare for the fight and, after a series of medical evaluations, including several MRIs and CT scans, a medical panel of Brazilian and American specialists recommended that he not return to the ring this year.
Dr. Jorge Pagura, president of the CBF Medical and Anti-Doping Commission, professor of neurosurgery, and specialist at the Brazilian Society of Neurosurgery (SBN), commented on the incident: “The athlete Vitor belfort During training, he developed a concussion, with significant symptoms during the last episode, associated with abnormalities in his imaging studies. Due to the incident, there is no timetable for his return to the September 27th fight. Only after periodic clinical, imaging, and brain function reevaluations will his return to specific sports practice be determined.

I was preparing to put on a great show for the public and fight fans, with another victory. Unfortunately, this unforeseen event happened, and now I need to focus on my recovery. Even without Belfort, the event is confirmed for September 27th
The second edition of Spaten Fight Night – a black tie event for invited guests that will be broadcast nationwide via Globo, Canal Combate, and Globoplay – remains confirmed for September 27th. The announcement of the new opponent Wanderlei Silva, with details of the fight, will take place this Sunday, September 7, as Klumpp highlights: “the choice of the new opponent for the main fight of the night with Wanderlei Silva will be based on technical criteria that will meet the public’s expectations and restore the value and seriousness of martial arts.”

The organization confirms that the rematch has been rescheduled for 2026, already agreed with both rivals, as soon as Belfort receives medical clearance.
The other fights on the card remain unchanged, with the duels between: Beatriz Ferreira, defending the world boxing title in Brazil for the first time, against Uruguayan Maira Moneo, for the lightweight belt (61kg) of the International Boxing Federation (IBF); Hebert Conceição and Yamaguchi Falcão, for the dispute of the Brazilian boxing belt in the middleweight category (74kg); and Thiago Manchinha, current champion for the organization Shooto Brasil, against Wanderson Barcellos, holder of the belt for MAC - Martial Arts Championship, in an MMA fight.
