Currently ranked 11th in the featherweight rankings (up to 65,7 kg), the veteran showed himself willing to face any athlete the organization chooses.
Keeping an eye on the situation, Melquizael Costa He wasted no time in taking to social media to politely challenge his compatriot and sports idol. Seeking an opponent for his next fight, 'Melk' agreed to perform in the Marvelous City.

So far, Patrício has not commented on the challenge his compatriot received. In a statement after the fight was canceled, the Brazilian assured that he would not submit to the disadvantage his rival would face in the fight.
UFC Rio, which will be headlined by Charles of the Bronx on October 11th, with 13 fights officially announced so far.
