In full preparation to measure forces with Raphael Fiziev in the main fight of UFC Rio, which takes place on October 11, Charles of the Bronx is counting on highly qualified allies in his preparation. In a video posted on social media this week, the former lightweight champion (up to 70,3 kg) was joined by Demian Maia at the headquarters of Chute Boxe Diego Lima for a grappling training session.

In the video, Leão Embaçado is seen training with a partner under the supervision of Maia, who guides him through his ground movements. A black belt and multiple jiu-jitsu champion, the former fighter is one of the best representatives of the gentle art in the octagon in the UFC's more than three decades of existence. He currently works as a commentator for UFC Fight Pass Brazil.
This isn't the first video of Do Bronx's training to gain traction on social media. Also this week, he was seen practicing his takedown skills against the fence at the same gym. The choice of material to gain media coverage is noteworthy, particularly given Fiziev's Muay Thai credentials. Therefore, it's safe to assume that the Brazilian's strategy relies heavily on grappling. It's important to note that the former champion is the greatest finisher in UFC history.
