Tension between Nassourdine Imavov and Caio Borralho rose sharply this Friday (5), during the UFC Paris ceremonial weigh-in. The two fighters, who are the main event fighters on Saturday, had an intense face-off, marked by provocations and a hostile atmosphere in front of the French crowd at the Accor Arena.
"It was fucking awesome. I looked deep into his soul. Like that. Tomorrow is the day to show the world that I'm the next champion of this. The next challenger. I'm coming. The Fighting Nerds are here," Caio said after the face-off.

The tense encounter between the two is no surprise. Borralho had previously expressed irritation with Imavov over the Frenchman's alleged refusal to face him months ago. According to the Brazilian, the confrontation was deliberately avoided, which led him to publicly criticize his opponent and even take legal action against the UFC.
Nassourdine, on the other hand, adopted a provocative tone throughout the week, including ironic posts. In one, he made puns about Borralho's nerdy look and mocked the Brazilian's style outside the Octagon.
Imavov and Borralho headline UFC Paris this Saturday (6). The fight is seen as a potential eliminator for the middleweight belt, and the winner could get closer to a chance against the category champion, which will be defined at UFC 319 between Dricus Du Plessis and Khamzat Chimaev.
