The unthinkable will happen. Mike Tyson and Floyd Mayweather will face each other in an exhibition fight scheduled for early 2026. The announcement of the clash between two of the biggest names in boxing history was made this Thursday (5) by producers CSI Sports and Fight Sports.
With no exact date or location defined yet, the fight promises to be one of the biggest spectacles in the history of modern boxing, not because of the competitiveness, but because of the weight of the names involved.

At 59, Tyson brings the appeal of power and unpredictability. Even after his defeat to Jake Paul In 2024, the former champion remains one of the most media-savvy athletes in the sport and is heavier than his opponent.
On the other hand, Mayweather, 48 years old and retired since 2017, maintains the status of an undefeated legend, with 50 wins and no losses, and has explored the exhibition format as a way to keep his brand active and profitable.
Despite the difference in weight, age and style, the two accepted the terms for the fight, which should follow the 'lighter' format of the exhibitions: larger gloves, limited number of rounds and, possibly, without an official judge or declared winner, as was the case with Mike Tyson x Jake Paul and Mayweather vs. Logan Paul.
