However, he ended up getting involved in a commotion with Nassourdine Imavov 's team and almost brought the show forward.

In a video posted by Erick Terere on Instagram, Carlos Prates gave his version of events, stating that the reason for the fight was that Nassourdine Imavov 's manager started the provocation.
"The guys' manager is trying to pull a fast one. You know what I mean, right? I'll put those guys in their place... Are you crazy? Who did they suck on oranges with, man?", said Carlos Prates.
Fighting Nerds at UFC Paris
Despite the tense moment involving Carlos Prates , Caio Borralho and Maurício Ruffy will be the only representatives of Fighting Nerds to compete at UFC Paris . 'The Natural' faces Nassourdine Imavov in the main event, in a duel that could determine the next challenger in the middleweight division (up to 83,9 kg). Ruffy will face Benoit Saint-Denis in a fight that could secure his entry into the top 15 of the lightweight division (up to 70,3 kg).

After knocking out Geoff Neal at UFC 319, Carlos Prates requested a chance to face Leon Edwards at UFC Rio. Although Dana White liked the idea, the Brazilian's request was only partially accepted. The welterweight (up to 77 kg) will face the former champion at UFC 322, scheduled for November 15th in New York.
