Carlos Prates explains the reason for the confusion with Imavov's team at UFC Paris: 'Who did you suck orange with?'

Carlos Prates made it clear that he will not return to Brazil with any insults on his back. The Fighting Nerds fighter attended the ceremonial weigh-in UFC Paris, which takes place this Saturday (6), to follow Caio Borralho and Maurício Ruffy. However, he ended up getting involved in a dispute with the team Nassourdine Imavov e almost anticipated the show.

In a video posted by Erick Terere on Instagram, Carlos Prates told his version and, according to the fighter, the reason for the fight was that his manager Nassourdine Imavov started the provocation.

“The guys’ manager wanted to make a joke there. You know, right? I’m already putting the guys in their place… Are you crazy? Who did you suck oranges with, man?” he said. Carlos Prates.

Fighting Nerds at UFC Paris

Despite the tense moment starring Carlos Prates, Caio Borralho and Maurício Ruffy will be the only representatives of Fighting Nerds to take part in the UFC Paris. 'The Natural' faces Nassourdine Imavov in the main fight, in a duel that could define the next challenger in the middleweight division (up to 83,9 kg). Ruffy will face Benoit Saint-Denis in a fight that could seal his entry into the top 15 of the lightweight division (up to 70,3 kg).

After knocking out Geoff neal No. UFC 319, Carlos Prates asked for the chance to face Leon edwards at UFC Rio. Although Dana White liked the idea, the Brazilian's request was only partially accepted. The welterweight (up to 77 kg) faces the former champion at UFC 322, scheduled for November 15th in New York.
