The invincibility of Caio Borralho in the UFC came to an end on Saturday night (6), in Paris. In the main event of the card, held at the Accor Arena, the Brazilian was overcome by Nassourdine Imavov by unanimous decision of the judges after five intense rounds in the middleweight division (up to 83,9 kg). See here the best moments of the fight.
Borralho entered the Octagon riding a seven-fight winning streak in the organization and with a real chance of getting closer to a title shot. However, he faced a sharp rival, driven by a raucous crowd in the French capital.

The fight began with a lot of study on both sides. Caio sought low kicks and feinted takedowns, but Imavov soon took the initiative in the exchanges. With precise movement and distance control, the Frenchman landed the best strikes in the opening minutes and cornered the Brazilian against the fence on several occasions.
In the second round, Imavov maintained his dominance in the striking exchanges. While Caio attempted to respond with counterattacks and leg kicks, the Frenchman continued to impose his pace and make it difficult for the Brazilian to attempt a takedown, as he barely developed his ground game.
The third round was not without its drama. Imavov landed a clean strike that rocked Borralho, forcing the Maranhão native to seek the clinch. In one of the moves, the Brazilian accidentally landed a low kick on Imavov, who needed time to recover. In the rematch, Caio showed reaction and landed strong strikes, especially leg kicks, in his best round of the fight.
The battle became even more intense in the fourth round. Borralho tried to increase the pace, investing in takedowns, and showing more aggression, but Imavov responded well and continued to frustrate the Brazilian's attacks. The round was even, with good moments for both sides.
In the final round, Caio went all-in. Knowing he needed a knockout or submission to win, according to his corner's instructions, the Brazilian sped up, landed strong sequences, and tried to apply pressure. Imavov, however, remained calm, resisted well, and controlled the final stretch of the fight until the bell.
