All the exchange of barbs between Carlos Prates e Ian Gary before the UFC Kansas City are water under the bridge. A video revealed the two in the front row of the audience at UFC Paris, a tragic event for the 'Fighting Nerds', held this Saturday (6). Caio Borralho lost by decision in the promotion's main fight, against Nassourdine Imavov. Before, Maurício Ruffy was finished by Benoit St. Dennis in the second round.

It was precisely the co-main event that was responsible for the duo's most histrionic reactions. Carlos Prates threw a glass on the floor in a complete rage, while Ian Gary puts his hands to his head. Then, the Irishman consoled his former adversary. (see below)

Caio Borralho falls before Imavov
The long-awaited night of UFC Paris had a bitter ending for Brazil. The main attraction of the event held this Saturday at the Accor Arena, Caio Borralho suffered his first defeat in the Ultimate when he was defeated by unanimous decision by Nassourdine Imavov, a local idol and current number 2 in the middleweight rankings (up to 83,9 kg). The country was defeated in all three direct fights against the French.
With the result, the Frenchman consolidates himself as the next in line for a title fight against Khamzat Shimaev, while the Brazilian sees his climb to the top of the 83,9 kg division slowed down.
With victory, Nassourdine Imavov scores his fourth consecutive victory in the UFC, now with a professional record of 17 wins, four losses and one no-contest. More than that: the victory solidifies his position as the next challenger for the middleweight belt, currently held by the feared Khamzat Shimaev.
Yes, Caio Borralho, who was undefeated in seven UFC fights and was seen as a potential contender for the top spot in the division, suffered his first loss in the organization and is expected to drop in the rankings. Even so, the Brazilian showed resilience and remains one of the most promising names in the division.
Luffy loses to the homeowner
Hype over? Mauricio Luffy's skills were no match for the strength and grappling of Benoit Saint-Denis in the co-main event of UFC Paris, held this Saturday (6). Motivated by the crowd, the Frenchman insisted on grappling, dominated the nerd on the ground and won by submission in the second round.
With the negative result, Ruffy suffered his second career loss, his first in the UFC octagon. Saint-Denis, on the other hand, continued his good form and is now on a two-fight winning streak, after losing two in a row.
