As if the victory against Caio Borralho in the main fight of UFC Paris wasn't an impressive feat in itself, Nassourdine Imavov managed to add another surprising element to his performance last Saturday (6). In a video published on the stories of his official Instagram account on the morning of this Monday (8), the Russian/Frenchman revealed that he entered the octagon weighing only 87,9 kg, just four kg above the weight he hit at the official weigh-in for the event.

The information is surprising given the perception that Imavov is a large middleweight (up to 83,9 kg). Furthermore, it's also important to highlight the situation experienced by Caio Borralho , who underwent the weight-cutting process twice in a period of only three weeks, considering that the fighter from Maranhão was the official reserve for the title fight between Dricus Du Plessis and Khamzat Chimaev , held at UFC 319.
Imavov ended Caio Borralho's decade-long unbeaten streak
With the victory, Imavov became the first fighter to defeat the Fighting Nerds star in the UFC and successfully defended his position as the top contender in the division. Thus, the athlete became a leading contender to be the next challenger to the belt, in what will be the new champion's first title defense.
