As if victory against Caio Borralho in the main fight of UFC Paris was not already an impressive feat in itself, Nassourdine Imavov managed to add another surprising element to last Saturday's performance (6). In a video published in stories from his official Instagram account on Monday morning (8), the Russian/Frenchman revealed that he had entered the octagon weighing just 87,9 kg, just four kg above the weight he reached at the official weigh-in for the event.

The information is surprising given the perception that Imavov is a large middleweight (up to 83,9 kg). Furthermore, it is also important to highlight the situation experienced by Caio Borralho, who carried out the cutting process twice in a period of just three weeks, since the Maranhão native was the official reserve for the title fight between Dricus Du Plessis e Khamzat Shimaev, held at UFC 319.
Imavov ended Caio Borralho's decade-long unbeaten streak
With the victory, Imavov became the first fighter to defeat the Fighting Nerds star in the UFC and successfully defended his position as the top contender in the division. Thus, the athlete became a leading contender to be the next challenger to the belt, in what will be the new champion's first title defense.
