Just a few days away from entering the octagon Night UFC, an event that takes place next Saturday (13), Sedriques Dumas made headlines not for his performance in training, but for an unusual and worrying post on social media. The American revealed he was experiencing severe financial difficulties and claimed to have only $13,96 (approximately R$75,70) in his bank account.
"This is the price of being an adult and having to pay for legal action and other things in life. You can laugh, I'm giving you something to enjoy," the fighter wrote sarcastically on his X (formerly Twitter) profile.

To the years, Sedriques Dumas has a history marked by controversy outside the Octagon. Since 2014, the fighter has been arrested 14 times in Escambia County, Florida, according to police records.
The most recent incident occurred in April 2025, when he was arrested on charges including home invasion, assault, weapons and drug possession, and was considered a repeat offender. At the time, bail was set at $558.500 (approximately R$3 million at the current exchange rate), a record amount in his criminal record.
Despite legal issues and financial difficulties, the American was not fired, remained active in the UFC, and will have another opportunity to bounce back at next weekend's event. His opponent will be Zach Reese, in a duel valid for the middleweight category (up to 83,9 kg).
