With no time to lose and looking to become a more active fighter, Caio Borralho has shown interest in returning to the octagon this year, after losing for the first time in the organization. Defeated by Nassourdine Imavov at UFC Paris , the "Nerd" guaranteed after the fight that nothing is over and that his academy will return to the top in future appearances.
After Robert Whittaker was mentioned as a possible rival, Brendan Allen raised his arms and assumed the position of favorite to face the Brazilian next. In a mutual agreement, the fighters expressed interest in facing each other in the octagon during a friendly interaction on social media.

"Nobody else wants to fight before the end of the year, but I'm open to doing it, Caio Borralho ," Allen declared.
Without hesitation, the Brazilian responded positively to the challenge.
“I’m in, brother! It would be an honor, again.”
“I say the same,” Allen concluded.

Referring to a new opportunity, Borralho commented on a previous grappling duel between the two. At the time, competing for Karate Combat, the Brazilian triumphed by judges' decision. The encounter took place in 2024, during Nerd's period of inactivity in the UFC.
Currently ranked eighth in the middleweight rankings (up to 83,9 kg), Borralho lost his belt after losing to Imavov. Allen, on the other hand, is back on the winning track and now dreams of getting closer to the title he's dreamed of once again.
