If it depends on Carlos Prates, his days as a professional fighter are already numbered. The Fighting Nerds member, who has five wins and five losses in the UFC, has already mapped out his retirement plan, and it seems he's closer than you think.
In an interview with Ariel Helwani, Carlos Prates made it clear that his goal is to win the UFC belt, face Ian Gary in a rematch and then hang up the gloves.

“First I’m going to win the belt, then I’m going to challenge him for a rematch, and then it’s all good. After that, I’m going to stop fighting MMA. I think so (I’m going to retire). I don’t want to fight much, brother. He (Ian Gary) is a nice guy. But I feel like I need to fight him again.”, he said Carlos Prates.
Prates's plans don't stop there. He also already knows exactly what he wants to do after his career ends: enjoy life and take care of his mother.
"Just enjoying my life. Having a barbecue, having a few beers... Just relaxing. Enjoying my time by the pool, relaxing. Taking care of my mom, you know? I plan to fight until I'm 35. But if I become champion before then, I might retire sooner," the fighter concluded.
