Defeated last Saturday (6), Caio Borralho made a sincere reflection on the moment he is experiencing in MMA. After losing to Nassourdine Imavov by unanimous decision in the UFC Paris, the Brazilian admitted that he no longer feels the same adrenaline when entering the octagon, but reinforced that he remains motivated to fight.

In an interview with the channel 'Laerte Viana na Área', Borralho opened up about the feelings he carries in his latest performances.

"I have to understand and accept that I no longer feel the adrenaline to fight. I don't anymore. It's zero. I want to study this. Most people say, 'When you stop feeling afraid, it's better to stop fighting.' And this becomes a narrative that makes people believe it, but I don't agree. The thing I liked most was being up there. The thing I want most is to fight as often as possible. I love being up there," he said.

The Brazilian also highlighted that he approaches each fight naturally, regardless of the occasion.

"I'm present. I'm not thinking about what might happen, how badly I might get hurt, or what the fight will lead me to. In the end, it's the same thing. You'll lock yourself in a cage with the other guy, it's you and him, and that's it. Whether it's a title fight, your first in the UFC, your first in your career... It's the same thing! I understand that I've accepted everything the fight can bring me. Good or bad. I can go in there and die. I've accepted that," he concluded.

Caio Borralho distanced himself from the belt

In the main event in Paris, Imavov demonstrated superior striking, successfully blocking his rival's takedown attempts, and controlling the fight throughout the five rounds. With this result, the Frenchman notched his fifth consecutive victory and established himself as a potential next challenger for the middleweight title.

Borralho, in turn, suffered his first defeat in the UFC in almost ten years of his professional career and fell from seventh to eighth place in the category rankings.
