In an interview with reporter Brett Okamoto of ESPN Last Tuesday (9), Kayla said she believes she will face Amanda soon, in order to look for another opponent for the UFC in the White House, whose name she avoided mentioning.

"We'll find out soon when this fight will happen. After I defeat Amanda, I hope to fight someone specific at the White House, and I think it will all work out. It's going to be amazing. I can't say yet, because everything is not in my control. So, a few things need to happen for this plan to come to fruition, if that makes sense. You need to be at the right time, in the right place. Give it time, let it simmer," said the judoka.

A fight between the two athletes has been speculated about since the beginning of Kayla's MMA career. After winning Olympic gold twice, the judoka began training at American Top Team, one of the best gyms in the world and the Brazilian's home at the time. With the American's development and the conquest of two PFL belts, Amanda ended up leaving ATT and subsequently retiring from the sport.

Now, the best fighter in history returns to the octagon to try to regain the belt she defended on several occasions.
