Alex Poatán already plans the direction of his career after the long-awaited rematch against Magomed Ankalayev, which takes place in the main fight of the UFC 320The Brazilian will face off on October 4th in Las Vegas (USA). He is looking to reclaim the light heavyweight title (up to 93 kg) and does not believe in a trilogy fight against the Russian, regardless of the outcome.
The meeting marks the second fight between the rivals in less than a year. In March, UFC 313Ankalaev defeated the Brazilian and won the title with a unanimous decision victory, inflicting Poatan's first defeat in the division. Now, the former champion will have the chance for an immediate rematch to regain the belt.

"I think that's the end of the story. Obviously, it's out of my control; it's up to the UFC. If they want to do it again, I'll fight anyone. To be honest, with everything we've seen, I think if he loses, he'll never fight for the belt again," the former champion declared in an interview with MMA Junkie.
Even though he ruled out a third fight, Poatan acknowledged the challenge he faces in the Octagon. The Brazilian emphasized that he expects a tough battle, but assured that he is ready to assert himself and seek victory.
"It's always going to be a tough fight. We both want to win. I'll do my best and everything I can to feel good that night, to be able to impose my pace, my strategy, and come out with the victory," he concluded.
