Four fights, four defeats. This was the record of Brazilians at Noche UFC before Netto BJJ entered the action. The lightweight (up to 70,3 kg) from Goiás, however, won a very tough fight against Peruvian Claudio Puelles and prevented Brazil from ending the preliminary card of this Saturday's event (13) without any victory. Dominated in the first round, Netto BJJ recovered in the last two rounds and, thanks to a blitz imposed in the final seconds, secured the victory by split decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28).
With this result, Netto BJJ recovers from his defeat against Drakkar Klose in May 2024. The fighter from Goiás now has three wins in his last five appearances in the octagon.

On the other side, Claudio Puelles finds himself in a delicate situation after suffering his third consecutive defeat. The Peruvian hasn't won since April 2022.
Pressure at the end guarantees Netto BJJ victory at Noche UFC
Netto BJJ started the fight aggressively, taking the initiative. Taking advantage of the Brazilian's aggressiveness, Claudio Puelles secured a single leg takedown in the center of the octagon. Comfortable on top, even in Netto's guard, Claudio Puelles remained active with short ground and pound strikes until he managed to establish posture and increase the range and power of his strikes. Netto BJJ attacked the Peruvian's legs, who defended, turned, and took his back. In the final seconds, Puelles secured another takedown.
Claudio Puelles started the second round by landing a straight punch and immediately going for a single leg takedown, executing another beautiful takedown, the third of the fight. This time, Netto BJJ managed to get back to his feet. The Peruvian threw a high kick, which the Brazilian defended. Netto took control of the octagon and began to corner Puelles against the cage. Puelles went for another takedown, and Netto defended twice. The Brazilian worked his kicks well to the waistline, and with one of them, a front kick, he made the Peruvian double over. Feeling the effects, Puelles activated survival mode and went for a takedown. In the final seconds, Netto BJJ jumped into a guillotine choke but didn't finish due to time constraints.
More confident, Netto BJJ started the third round moving forward, but absorbed two clean strikes from Claudio Puelles . Following that, the Peruvian dove for the Brazilian's legs and secured a takedown, but Netto got back to his feet. Exiting the clinch, Puelles landed a cross to the Brazilian's face and clinched again, working knees against the cage. Back in the center of the octagon, Netto BJJ circled and connected with a flying knee. Claudio Puelles rocked the Brazilian with a clean left straight and immediately dove for a takedown. In the final minute, Netto locked Puelles' head and connected with some knees, but the Peruvian escaped. With 15 seconds remaining, Netto BJJ connected with hard hands and took down the Peruvian, who stalled until the final bell.
