Although it has not been officially confirmed, the fight between Paddy Pimblett e Ilia Topuria is already generating positive reviews in the international press. Although the current lightweight champion (up to 70,3 kg) holds the top spot in the Ultimate pound-for-pound rankings and is undefeated in 17 professional fights, the Englishman's coach, Paul Rimmer, believes that "Malvado" will have no trouble defeating his opponent and becoming the new belt holder.

In an interview with the channel 'Submission Radio' on YouTube, the coach avoided going into details about strategy or specific points of the fight, but guaranteed that his pupil will seriously injure the Georgian/Spanish player's face.
“He (Pimblett) is going to make a bloody mess of (Topuria’s) face, that’s what I know is going to happen,” Rimmer said.

Two of the biggest names in the European media market, Topuria and Pimblett have a long-standing animosity. While both were young and rising stars, the two came close to coming to blows during a press conference. More recently, they faced off inside the Octagon after the Georgian/Spanish fighter knocked out Charles of the Bronx in the main fight of UFC 317 and become the new lightweight champion (up to 70,3 kg).
