Currently ranked fourth in the featherweight rankings (up to 65,7 kg) and eyeing an unprecedented opportunity for the belt, Lerone murphy demonstrates that he is aware that his chances were threatened after a great victory of Diego lopes No. Night UFC. Former title challenger, the Manaus native knocked out Jean Silva and had the door open for a rematch against the champion.

On his social media, Lerone spoke again about his meeting with Alexander Volkanovsky for the featherweight throne. Undefeated with 17 wins and coming off a stunning knockout of Aaron Pico, the Englishman has ensured that it is his time to face the champion.

Despite his attempts to disrupt Diego's plans, Murphy didn't receive full reciprocity from Volkanovski. Commenting on his first title defense in his new era as champion, the Australian didn't rule out the possibility of the Brazilian as the next challenger, although he didn't rule out facing the undefeated athlete.

So far, Dana White and his allies have not commented on the matter.
