After being ignored by Carlos Prates, Michael Page defies UFC promise

After putting on a show against Jared Cannonier No. UFC 319 and challenge Carlos Prates, Michael Page was overlooked by the Fighting Nerds star and is now targeting another potential opponent, also in the welterweight category (up to 77,1 kg). Aiming to enter the top 10 of the division, MVP expressed his desire to face the Ecuadorian MichaelMorales, ranked seventh and undefeated in 18 professional fights.

According to the fighter himself, he even contacted the Ultimate matchmakers to try to make the fight a reality. He spoke about the matter while promoting his own event, Total Kombat.

“Actually, I asked for an undefeated fighter. I'm going to start beating everyone— MichaelMorales, he's about 18-0. Again, silence. I think it would be perfect. I would fight him and then fight the winner of Leon and Prates in the UK, I hope," said the fighter.

Morales, who is only 26 years old, has already defeated important names in the category such as Neil Magny e Gilbert Durinho, whom he knocked out in his last Octagon appearance. Despite the Englishman's revelation, there is no forecast for the return of either of them. Already Carlos Prates will measure forces with Leon Edwards No. UFC 322, November 15th.
