In an interview with the podcast 'Overdogs Brasil', Glover Teixeira highlighted that Poatan must impose a much more dynamic rhythm, putting pressure on the Russian throughout the fight and showing his strength in the first round.

"There are guys who are different, right? Poatan is very confident, very focused. Now we're going to hone his timing, because he's already ready for five rounds... You can bet: this first round is going to be brutal. It's not that he'll come in angry, but he'll come in with that same style of his, just much more dynamic.
