At the time, the light heavyweight champion (up to 93 kg) was in the Russian capital to promote the first duel with Alexander Gustafson, who was also there. Guskov worked as a security guard at the nightclub and still dreamed of the opportunity to compete in the UFC.

“I saw Gustafsson leave around 22 or 23 p.m. to get some sleep. Meanwhile, Jon Jones stayed at the club until 5 a.m. He was drunk as hell. At one point, I saw him and Frank mir fighting on the ground—and none of us dared interrupt the fight. Luckily, they were just playing around. I was shocked that a fighter of that level could celebrate like that,” he said in an interview with Ushatayka.

In the same interview, the Uzbek was asked by the reporter if Jones was drinking vodka at the time. Guskov stated that the then-champion drank every drink offered to him.
