Caio Borralho believes that Fighting Nerds has already caused a major revolution in the world of MMA. The team was elected the best MMA team in the world in 2024, after impressing with its four main athletes advancing as a group in the UFC. However, in 2025, things got out of control and the team suffered its first bad phase in the organization, according to the middleweight division (up to 83,9 kg), a consequence of its own influence on the sport.
In a video posted by Carlos Prates on YouTube, Caio Borralho highlighted that the team's main objective, since its creation, has already been achieved. According to the fighter, the philosophy of how to view fighting has changed the mentality, the way of acting, and the way of studying other teams.

“What we failed to pay attention to is that our main objective, since we started the team, this philosophy of how to view fighting, has been achieved. We managed to change the mentality, the way of acting, the way of studying fighting of several teams in Brazil and around the world,” said Caio Borralho.
The fighter stated that, under the influence of Fighting Nerds, athletes, in general, are studying more and behaving differently, a reflection of the team. For Borralho, this confirms that the goal of transforming perceptions of fighters has been achieved.
"The guys are studying a lot more, the guys are behaving differently, all because of our influence. So, our main objective was achieved, because our objective was to change how people see fighters and how fighters see themselves," continued the Nerd.
Borralho highlights the need to evolve beyond Fighting Nerds
Finally, Caio admitted that this impact may have gone unnoticed by his own team. Now, according to Borralho, simply being part of Fighting Nerds isn't enough: you need to offer something more to stay at the top of the UFC.
“Perhaps this went unnoticed by us. Now it’s not enough just to be Fighting Nerds. Now we have to be something more. They’re all already achieving that by being Fighting Nerds. What more do we have to offer?”, concluded Caio Borralho.
