Just minutes after news of Fiziev's injury broke, Renato Moicano took to social media and posted a 'blinking eyes' emoji, as if he were eyeing the spot. Another name that could emerge is Benoit Saint-Denis , who, after his victory over Maurício Ruffy, expressed interest in being the reserve fighter for the main event of UFC Rio.

Charles Oliveira has a professional record of 35 wins and 11 losses in his career. The former lightweight champion would be making his debut after being brutally knocked out by Ilia Topuria at UFC 317 in June of this year. He is currently ranked fourth in the division.
On the other hand, Renato Moicano has a record of 2 wins and seven losses. The Brazilian, who gained notoriety for his YouTube channel, is coming off two consecutive losses in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in 2025, when he lost to Islam Makhachev in a title fight at UFC 311 in January, and to Beneil Dariush at UFC 317. Moicano is ranked 11th in the lightweight division.
