Alex Poatan downplays Fighting Nerds' bad run and bets on a comeback in the UFC

Unlike MMA fans, Alex Poatán He doesn't seem concerned about the turbulent times facing Fighting Nerds in the UFC. In September, three of the São Paulo team's top fighters lost in the octagon, suffering their first defeat in the organization. However, the former light heavyweight champion (up to 93 kg) is betting on a comeback for the team led by Pablo Sucupira.

On his official YouTube channel, Poatan downplayed the defeats suffered by Caio Borralho, Jean Silva and Mauricio Ruffy for Nassourdine Imavov, Diego lopes e Benoit Saint-Denis, respectively. According to the renowned striker, the losing streak doesn't represent a professional catastrophe, but rather can serve as a learning experience for athletes as they evolve in the UFC.

Borralho says Fighting Nerds has achieved its biggest goal in the UFC and points out the reason for its poor run.

"It happens. It could have been four athletes from four different teams, and then it wouldn't have received such negative attention. Who hasn't lost today? In MMA, I don't know. People are still in the middle of the road, but they don't know what can happen. I think what happened was normal. "Cool your head, ignore provocations, and make corrections. Know where you went wrong, because once you know where you went wrong, everything becomes easier," concluded the former champion.
