Mateusz Gamrot has resorted to trash talk to secure his fight against Charles Oliveira in the main event of UFC Rio (up to 70,3kg). Recently, Rafael Fiziev , the former champion's original opponent, was injured and forced to withdraw from the fight. Because of this, several names have put their hands up to accept the spot, including the Polish fighter, who, it seems, wants to win through trash talking.

In a post on 'X', formerly Twitter, Gamrot published an AI-generated drawing depicting Charles do Bronx as he worries about finding a new opponent, while he himself accepts the challenge and offers a chicken to the former champion.

After defeating Michael Chandler at UFC 309 , Charles had the chance to reclaim the lightweight title against Ilia Topuria at UFC 317. However, the Brazilian was knocked out in the first round. Ranked fourth in the division, "do Bronx" sees the fight in front of his home crowd as an opportunity to get back on the winning track and dream again of a title shot.
In addition to Gamrot, Renato Moicano also made himself available to face the former champion at home. Benoit Saint-Denis , who had emerged as a possibility, had his participation ruled out by his manager after his recent return to the octagon at UFC Paris.
