Parrumpinha reveals why he blocked Moicano from facing Charles do Bronx at UFC Rio: 'That's easy'

American Top Team coach explains that his athlete was not prepared to accept the duel at the last minute

Marcos Parrumpinha didn't like the idea of Renato Moicano be considered to face Charles of the Bronx at UFC Rio, scheduled for October 11th. Recently, Raphael Fiziev, original opponent, suffered an injury and was forced to abandon the duel, which sparked a race to face the former champion in the main event. “Everyone’s like, ‘Hahaha, it’s going to be really cool, look how cool this is’… (Cool) For you guys. It’s not Moicano’s problem. (It would be good) for the event, for the UFC, for Charles’ fans, because it will catch Moicano untrained, creating content. That’s easy, my brother,” said Parrumpinha.

Despite blocking Moicano, Parrumpinha says he is rooting for the fight to end. Charles of the Bronx happen at UFC Rio and reinforces his support for the Brazilian, despite making it clear that he does not want his athlete to accept a duel without any preparation while he is focused on other areas.
