Diego lopes is back on the winning track in the UFC and has big dreams. In September, in Texas (USA), the athlete shone by knocking out his rival Jean Silva and thus put himself back in the running to fight for the featherweight belt (up to 65,8 kg) again. But, if the organization doesn't give him a rematch against the champion Alexander Volkanovsky, the Brazilian has already defined the ideal target.
In an interview with the YouTube channel Laerte Viana na área – MMA, Diego, without hesitation, opened the doors for another rematch: against Movsar Evloev. In fact, the fighter stated that it is more worth facing the Russian than Yair Rodriguez, his enemy. And the Brazilian's position is explained.

In his UFC debut in 2023, Lopes lost to Movsar by unanimous decision and, even without a full training camp, nearly submitted him. Now, a showdown between them could give the winner the status of featherweight title challenger, as the Brazilian is ranked second, while the Russian is ranked first.
"Evloev. Give him to me, because I want to get this story straight. Of course. He's the number one guy in the rankings, but everyone knows me. If the UFC says Movsar won't fight, but there's Yair, no problem. I'll fight him too and beat him," the fighter declared.

Diego debuted in the UFC in 2023, competed in eight fights, and became something of a sensation. In the octagon, the Brazilian has six wins, four of which came by way of quick victory (three by knockout and one by submission), and two losses. His main triumphs have been over Brian ortega, Dan Ige e Jean Silva.
