The rivalry between Magomed Ankalayev e Alex Poatán gained another chapter just over a week before UFC 320, which takes place on October 4th. After being accused by the Brazilian of hiding at the UFC Performance Institute in Las Vegas, the light heavyweight champion took to social media to respond to the provocations, firing back at the challenger and recalling their first meeting.
"This clown I'm going to fight says I'm hiding from him. I'm giving him a rematch, and he should be very grateful. I beat him for five rounds and did everything I wanted to him during the fight. Let's focus on fighting, not talking nonsense," Ankalaev wrote on 'X'.

Without holding back on his criticism, the Russian also took the opportunity to poke fun at Poatan's record and promised to knock out the Brazilian in the rematch.
"This guy has been knocked out three times in his career, I've never been knocked out. This time I'm going to give him his fourth knockout. End of story," he said.
In a third publication, Magomed Ankalayev mentioned the past of Alex Poatán as an employee of a tire shop and indicated that he intends to send his rival back to his old job.
“Don’t talk too much on the way to the tire shop after this fight,” concluded the champion.
The reunion between Alex Poatán e Magomed Ankalayev takes place on October 4th, in Las Vegas, at UFC 320. It will be the immediate rematch of the fight valid for the light heavyweight belt, won by the Russian in a unanimous decision at UFC 313, in March.
