Paulo Borrachinha has amassed many enemies in the UFC, and now he adds another name to his list. After pursuing and attacking Khamzat Chimaev , the middleweight champion (up to 83,9 kg), the Brazilian, who ended his bad streak by defeating Roman Kopylov in July in Louisiana (USA), has turned his focus to Reinier de Ridder . In fact, the athlete didn't hold back in provoking the Dutchman.

Brazilian fighter Borrachinha shared a video calling De Ridder a "duck," implying that he was to blame for their fight not happening. Previously, the Brazilian had stated that, after Anthony Hernandez 's injury , the UFC offered him the opportunity to fight the European in October. However, the fighter from Minas Gerais suggested that the fight should have three rounds instead of five, as is typical for main event fights, because he wouldn't have enough time to make weight.

With no agreement reached between the parties , the UFC announced Brendan Allen as De Ridder's new opponent. Irritated by Paulo's constant trash talk, the Dutchman asserted that it was his rival who made the negotiation difficult and refused the fight . Upon learning of his rival's criticism, the Brazilian resorted to insults.

"I never asked for the catchweight fight. You're a fucking gay liar," the former UFC title challenger wrote on his official X account.

Borrachinha position in the middle

Paulo Borrachinha is one of the most popular Brazilian fighters in the UFC. Currently, the former middleweight title challenger is ranked 13th. On the other hand, Reinier de Ridder is undefeated in the company and occupies fourth place in the rankings.
