Undefeated in the UFC and considered one of the biggest stars in the organization, Paddy Pimblett is hoping to become the next challenger for the lightweight title (up to 70,3 kg) next. Although he is awaiting a duel against Ilia Topuria, the fighter shows that he is not as worried as if he were to face another prospect in the division.

In a sincere stance, the Englishman recognized the category champion's talent, but chose Arman Tsarukyan as the biggest challenge to be found among the athletes present in the lightweight elite.

"I think, stylistically, Arman is a tougher opponent than Ilia. He's more of a lightweight per se. I think he has better grappling than Ilia. Ilia has better striking, yes, but I think stylistically, for me, styles determine fights. Everyone fights differently, and I think stylistically, Arman will be a tougher opponent for me," Pimblett said in an interview with Eldoberdan MMA.

Further on in his speech, Paddy asserted that any encounter with Topuria in the octagon would end violently. Confident in his grappling prowess, the Englishman assured that he would not make the same mistake as Charles of the Bronx.

"I see many ways to finish him," Pimblett said. "Everyone thinks it would be a one-sided fight on the feet. I see myself knocking him out with kicks, knees, and elbows. I'm not going to do what Charles did and get into a boxing match with him, because I know he's an excellent boxer. I respect his hands. I respect him as a fighter; he's very good."

"But once I'm on top of him, he won't be able to get up. He won't be able to. I'll land so many elbows on him that he'll look like the Elephant Man. The thing is: when I fight him, he's never fought with emotion before. He goes into every fight calm and calculated. With me, I'm already in his head. He won't fight me like he fights everyone else. He'll try to rip my head off, and he'll end up getting his head ripped off in the process," he concluded.

Pimblett is currently ranked seventh in the rankings and is coming off a big win over Michael chandler, when he knocked out the American in the third round. It is not yet known what the athlete's next fight will be, although Topuria is in his sights and the fact that they faced off after the Georgian-Spanish fighter won the lightweight title.
