On the eve of competing for the belt in UFC 320, Alex Poatán He's also in the spotlight outside the Octagon, but this time because of his relationship with his younger sister, Aline Pereira. In an emotional statement on the official UFC Countdown program, Aline revealed that the Brazilian champion was a key player in her life, especially during a period marked by personal difficulties and alcohol problems.
"Our journey was very difficult. I didn't have a healthy lifestyle. I drank like he did. I can only thank him for everything. For not giving up. And today I'm a world champion. I see him achieving many things. Wherever he wants to go, he goes. I've never seen his potential equal," said Aline, moved.

In addition to her personal recovery, Aline also forged a path in sports, following in her brother's footsteps. With impressive experience in kickboxing, she is now a Karate Combat champion, and credits much of her turnaround to Alex's constant support.
"I see him achieving many things. Wherever he wants to go, he will. I've never seen his potential equal," he added.
Alex Pereira's sister, Aline, also struggled with a drinking problem in the past, and it was Alex who pushed her to start training:

Next Saturday (4), Alex returns to the octagon to try to recover the light heavyweight belt (up to 93kg) against the Russian Magomed Ankalayev, in the main fight of the UFC 320.
