Despite not making any final decisions, Poatan made a point of opening up about his weight and declared that, as time goes by, everything indicates that heavyweight (up to 120,2 kg) could be his next destination in his UFC career.

"I can't answer that (in which division my career will end), I'd like to in the future, because my weight is going up. I don't know how long I'll be able to do this (weight cutting). 38 years, I don't know... I'll just do it the way I'm doing it and eventually we'll see what happens," Poatan said during a press conference in Las Vegas.

The current king of the division, Aspinall, has already warned the Brazilian about what he would do in a potential Octagon fight. According to the Englishman, within seconds the strategy would be to "explode" the São Paulo native's legs, taking the fight to the ground.
