The victory of Alex Poatán about Magomed Ankalayev No. UFC 320, last Saturday (4), was also special for Glover Teixeira. Former light heavyweight champion (up to 93kg) and the São Paulo native's main mentor, the coach had one of the most emotional reactions of the night when he saw his pupil regain the Ultimate belt.
In a video released by UFC Brazil, Glover appears tense and focused seconds before the fight, following every movement of the fight. When Poatan landed the decisive blow and forced referee Herb Dean to stop the fight, the former champion burst into joy, shouting and celebrating with his team.

The scene quickly went viral on social media, symbolizing the partnership and trust that characterize the relationship between the two. Since retiring from the Octagon, Glover has dedicated himself entirely to Poatan's training, playing a key role in his meteoric rise in the UFC. Partners in and out of training, the Brazilians are one of the most respected duos in MMA.
Poatan celebrated the important result, which evened the score in his rivalry with the Russian. Back at the top of the division, the Brazilian has two possible scenarios for his next fight: defending his belt, possibly against Carlos Ulberg, or venture into heavyweight (up to 120,2 kg), in search of winning the third title in a different category in the UFC.
